Be part of a video documentary

posted in: News, Research

Megan Wilde is a UBC graduate student in journalism and mother of three from Texas. For her final MJ project, she would like to produce a video documentary about kinship caregivers in B.C.

She is looking to connect with kinship caregivers to hear their stories and plan her documentary project. She hopes to record interviews and scenes from caregivers’ lives this summer and fall, with the goal of completing her final project by April 2023. She is based in Vancouver but can travel some this summer to gather stories, including hopefully at Fairness4CRR’s June conference in Nanaimo. She became interested in kinship care after witnessing how rewarding and challenging her aunt’s experience was raising her grandson in Texas.
