Let your voice be heard!

Are you currently raising a relative’s child(ren)/youth? Then you are invited to register now to be part of Fairness’ first joint research project with the University of British Columbia and the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.

It is now time to invite all caregivers who are currently raising one or more child or youth to participate in one of the Zoom sessions to be held on:

  • Focus Group interview #1: Feb 12 @ 10:30 am -12:00 pm
  • Focus Group interview #2: Feb 21@  10:30 am-12:00 pm

If you are available to attend one of these sessions, please apply ASAP as spaces are limited.  Each person will receive a $50.00 gift certificate for their participation.  I cannot stress the importance of sharing your views on the variety of supports needed for you and your children in care.  Your voice will provide us with a published paper or report which we can use to further advocate for ensuring all kinship caregivers and their children/youth get the supports they need.

You can use the attached flyer and the QR code or click here. Once you click on the link you will see all the detailed information relating to this project.  Sharing of this information is critical to the integrity of the research.  Following this information, you enter your contact information and then proceed to a short demographic survey. Responding to questions is optional and will not hinder you in completing the survey.

Submission of the survey is your agreeing to participate in the research and you will be contacted by Grace Pegg (UBC Mastery Student) to confirm your participation.

As Shari Monsma, President and Gail Moilliet as Vice President are cosponsors in this project any questions regarding your participation contact Grace at gpegg@student.ubc.ca
