Mandy, F4CRR Director of Advocacy, was invited as a guest on a recent CBC radio interview. She, along with other F4CRR members, is part of GrandFamily Connect which was featured on CBC Vancouver’s prime time radio program “On The Coast with Gloria Macarenko” and stream on GEM.
Mary Scheidegger is a founding member of F4CRR and former board member. She was invited by CBC to discuss her journey and the creation of GrandFamily World, an online support network for grandparents in similar situations. Together, Mary and Mandy highlighted the challenges of becoming a primary caregivers to grandchildren instead of “empty nesting”, including social exclusion and career impacts.
