As November is Adoption and Permanency Awareness Month, Fairness for Children Raised by Relatives was invited to join Interwoven Connections to collaborate in an impactful panel discussion where experts and lived-experience voices delved into the crucial issues facing kinship caregivers and permanency.
Participants from British Columbia and Ontario explored differences in policies, supports, and challenges, highlighting the unique experiences of kinship families across our provinces.
Interwoven Connections represents the tapestry of families and relationships formed through adoption, kinship and customary care. We create spaces and experiences where parents and caregivers feel seen and heard. Where they have access to trauma sensitive services and supports at every stage of their journey.
