Over the few short years we’ve been operating, we have seen some successes and positive change as a direct result of the advocacy and awareness put forth by the small team of volunteers at Fairness for Children Raised by Relatives (FCRR)
As a grass-roots non-profit society, we rely on the energies and expertise of volunteers to help us grow and continue on our mission to ensure children raised by relatives have the same rights and opportunities as all children in care in the province of British Columbia.
We are looking to expand our board of directors to help us move forward in our work. Are you looking for a way to give back and contribute to the ongoing advocacy and support work that FCRR? Do you have lived experience raising relatives’ children? Do you have administration or governance experience? Do you have experience with start-up societies, strategic planning, and visioning? Do you have experience and passion for advocacy work? Do you simply want to learn more about how you could be part of our organization?
Time commitment: one Zoom board meeting once a month on a mutually agreeable day. Some adhoc and sub-committee work.
