Workshop description below…

Caring for Yourself, While Caring for Others; a workshop for kinship caregivers.

Caring for the child(ren) of a family member is an act of love, commitment, and strength, and it can also bring unexpected challenges, changes, and loss. As caregivers focus on meeting the needs of others, their own well-being is often placed last.

This interactive 3-hour workshop is designed for kinship caregivers who are raising or supporting the children of relatives. Together, we’ll explore the impact of caregiving on our emotional, physical, and mental well-being, recognize the grief and losses that can accompany this journey, and learn practical self-care strategies to build resilience.

Participants will:

  • Reflect on the unique experiences of kinship caregiving.
  • Explore the impact of grief, loss, and changing family roles.
  • Learn simple, realistic self-care practices for everyday life.
  • Connect with others who understand the caregiving journey.
  • Create a personalized self-care plan and take home practical tools and resources.

Join us for a supportive and engaging workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to reflect, connect, and leave with strategies to help you continue caring for yourself while caring for others.
